There even was a citra spinoff called vvctre which tried to emulate Luigi's mansion 2 properly. It is playable...yes. But with major issues. So just pick the GameCube version or the yuzu version (Luigi's mansion 3) both are playable.

WebCitra Free software. Citra does an amazing job and has the ability to make the game look so much better - it'll ruin the original resolution for you haha. Only bad thing really is that you can't use some functions of the 3DS but other than that would massively recommend it on Citra! Runs at 40-60fps for me.
